Funding for the NUTRIMAL project

The NUTRIMAL project is funded by the Irish Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (14F 882), European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 666010 and the European Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) under the 2017 ESPEN Fellowship programme. Ingredients for the NUTRIMAL study drinks were also donated by Smartfish and Glanbia Nutritionals.

The blog

I would like to say a huge thank you to several people who made this blog possible.  Firstly to Anna Kirwan who first gave me the idea for the blog one day while helping me move crates of study drinks.  “You should take photos and make a blog to show people what goes into running a Clinical Trial…there are no websites doing that!” Secondly to the UCD Communications Team Elaine Quinn and Alex Boyd, and to Ger Quinn from the UCD Institute of Food and Health for all your vital input and feedback on the blog. Thank you to Dr. Miriam Ryan and Dr. Marianne Walsh who volunteered their time and expertise (having never even met me!) to review the blog before it went live and giving me loads of great information on how to improve it!

And an extra big thank you…

To all the participants who are taking part in the NUTRIMAL project. Without you the research nor the blog would be possible and I am eternally grateful for your time, enthusiasm and effort. A few of you also reviewed the blog for me and gave me really useful feedback so an extra thank you for that!

Thank you
